In a Twitter thread regarding the Biden Administration pressuring silicon valley authority platforms such as Meta, Twitter, and YouTube. Attorney General Eric Schmitt lays out the reasoning for Lawsuits pertaining to, “Big Tech Censorship”. Examples of which include the Hunter Biden Laptop story, post related to Covid-19, and various other acts authority platforms have taken to prevent disinformation. The Lawsuit is being heralded by the state of Missouri and Louisiana.
The lawsuit also alleges that Facebook CEO Mark Zukerburg was pressured by then candidate Joe Biden with threats of “civil liability and criminal prosecution” regarding what some are calling political censorship.
The Biden campaign sent multiple letters to Facebook accusing them of being, ‘a storm of misinformation’. Since then the Biden office has threatened social media platforms ad nauseam. On May 5, 2021 then White House Speaker Jen Psaki said, “The President’s view is that the major platforms have a responsibility related to the health and safety of all Americans to stop amplifying untrustworthy content, disinformation, and misinformation.”. She made similar statements throughout the entirety of 2021 and even quite recently on April 25, 2022 when she said “We’ve long talked about and the President has long talked about his concerns about the power of social media platforms, including Twitter and others, to spread misinformation…”
